NC4x4 needs a BAD SELLER/BUYER sticky so folks can read and know about bad deals that have happened and and make judgement calls on doing business with them in the future.

The board would also benefit from a GOOD SELLER/BUYER sticky so folks could see the folks who do honest business and keep their word.

I am out $1050 from a guy on the board. He has owed the money since March 2007. I offered to let him pay over time on the metal he took and he has repaid my kindness by not contacting me about the metal and the money he owes. He has failed to pay one single dime on his debt. I nominate Jeremie - 'ZUKDUK' as the first bad buyer for the 'BAD SELLER/BUYER' sticky. :huggy:

Haha.. I can vouch for FishHunt as a good buyer. He bought a tire from me and everything went smooth. Nice Guy.

Did the short bus make a special stop by NC4x4 today or what? :shaking:

Everybody needs to chill. They're jokes people. Sorry, guess I'm in a good mood today. Sorry, you got jipped.

[jumping on bandwagon] yeah, burn him at the stake [/jumping on bandwagon]

Personally I think this is a bad idea.
The threads will end up just being a big flame war full of "he said, she said" and "It was like this - " followed by "no, it was like this - " blah blah back and forth. Anybody can flame anybody else like that, regardless of whetehrt he complain is really warranted or not. In the end we would end up having to filter through a bunch of garbage and trying to make a decision based on what will never be the whoel story.

Plus how woudl you find a specific person, it'd be a whole sectio nfull of threads, impossibel to wade through.
The only system I have seen work is to have a star rating, with feedback (charactar limited) lists etc. Then you can at least have the good and bad transactions for any person balnce each other out.

For the record, I for one have generally had good experiences. I think if you accept the fact that people are human and imperfect, and prone to errors and problems and mistakes, and place your expectations accordingly, then you are less likely to get pissy.

I'm with the RatLabGuy
I sell some and buy more
I think a sale between two private persons is just that
I also think a flame war would be in the future and the mod's would have there hands full
If you buy sight unseen thats one thing
But if you go and look at say a dana 60 and the sellers said it was nice and when you get there it's junk...your out time and a fuel.
Also people have lives to deal with...not shipping fast enough or meeting you to pick-up parts exc...

I have had great experiences here on each and every transaction except one. In my case I bought an arcade video game sight unseen, had somebody else get it for me and when i got it, it lasted about 4 hrs and then shut down. It was my problem b/c it clearly worked when i got it. I never bitched and chalked it up to a lesson learned. besides there was about 20 bucks worht of quarters in the back of the machine.

I like to think we are all here trying to hook each other up. save the price gouging for EGAY.

PS anybody know how to repair old arcade games??????/

I guess I am guilty of thinking that people are are able to keep their emotion and ego in check and just deal with facts. I'm not trying to start a flame war or an E-penis match. So I still think a SELLER/BUYER Feedback Section is a great idea.

I can't tell you how many folks I have purchased things from on here. I can't tell you how many folks have purchased metal from me and my step-dad. I can tell you I have only dealt with one person from this board that has not kept the deal they made. I guess I am lucky that there has been only one bad apple.

I think we have been very fair in dealing with people who have purchased metal from us. I have saw at least 5 times where David (step-dad) gave a piece of metal to people that have drove out here to pick up metal. I have delivered several smaller pieces to board members across 1/2 the state.

If the admin/mods here don't think the users of this board are able to have a SELLER/BUYER Feedback Section because of grown people acting like school children then so be it. I for one think its a good idea.

No body reads the stickies anyway, so what good would it do.

How about a BUYER/SELLER Feedback Section in Commerce? It works on other forums I use. Why wouldn't it work here? I think it would work if you could get people to use it as intended. Not as a place for the jackasses to act webtarded. You could have a ZERO tolerance policy on posters showing their ass in this section. Posters could just post facts about deals that went fine and deals that went bad. Then NC4x4ers can see who to do business with and who to avoid.

Quite frankly it would be just another area that would have to be moderated, and heavily. Our moderators here do a great job, they do it in their spare time, and I really don't want to add to it. (I don't want anymore moderators at this time either)

That being said, I don't have any issues with someone posting about a bad seller or buyer, as long as it's kept as civil as possible (meaning no stupid actions or threats), and when a moderator steps in, that's it, don't cuss him out for doing his job.
