I got some leaks, on a 18 year old asphalt shingle roof. Insurance company is coming to check out hail & wind damage. I "May" get by with a few repairs, or I may need a complete roof. Got a Home Improvement company, down the street from me, but would like to hear from you guys too! Thanks!

Insurance adjuster/inspector is coming Wednesday. I'll have to see what they decide. I also have a high Deductible; Ouch!

My cousin runs Precision Roofing and Construction out of Hickory and I’m pretty sure they travel a little. I have no experience with their work, only that I know he does roofing in the somewhat western part of NC.

@Paul recommended Jimmy Hinnant @ Cityscape to me a couple months back when I needed to get the flashing around my chimney fixed up. Ultimately, I never got in touch with him (figured I'd try a couple tubes of tar from ABC supply first and it's worked out for me so far) so I didn't use but he said he's good and definitely knows his shit.

Appreciate it guys! Found my main leak today; the one that started running through a recessed light yesterday! The cover on a bathroom vent, has the three nails at the bottom, popped out. { Why are roofing nails Not ring shank?] So i figured just replace with a longer screw & some sealer. Nope, the nails must have leaked for so long, the holes are rotted.
Alright, plug those & Add some More screws, with sealer. Nice try. Must be rotten all the way around, or on the bottom anyway! Hopefully the replaced & added screws with sealer, will keep out the H2O, until Proper repair can be made.

Im not sure if he will go that far. I think so but also know he has been busy so may be staying closer to york/clover area.

Another guy I use is 803.232.7536 Mike is the owner's name.

Mike is probably the better more professional, more organized and cleaner cut of the two.
Both do great work. The first guy will likely be cheaper.

I grew up with both. They both have legit businesses, Im sorry just dont know the business names.

Finally! Got the New Roof on today! Had everything set, but The Contractor agreed with me on holding off till Florence passed. Had I had it installed, it would have been 2-3 days before the Hurricane, & the shingles would not have had time to seal [no warranty against wind]. So after the Hurricane & a few more days of off / on rain, roof was rescheduled. Matter of fact, was rescheduled 3 times! Excuses, excuses. This morning, I woke up to the sound of ladders hitting the gutters. No warning, or confirmation, they just showed up. I give them Credit, for a good job, once they got here.
