Need a transfer case for 05 Tahoe

I know this is a WTB but in a pinch here. My sister's transfer case started slapping the chain and needed replaced. I got one off of a guy I know down towards Sanford, but when she had it installed, it had the same problem. He was supposed to get us a new one but he's stopped answering my texts and it looks like she's out $200. Well, more considering the installation that she's out. Does anyone have anything, hopefully cheap? I feel bad her having to pay again because of someone I trusted.

I have a NQH transfer case from a 08 Silverado I didn't use, has 177k on it. worked fine in donor truck

It's likely not the same transfer case.

I'm betting you need an NV246 AutoTrac case. It'd be helpful if you specified.
