OK ive searched and read several threads but do to lack of understanding it was pointless. So im just gonna ask and hope for a answer.

Buying tires this coming week. Want to use stock wheels and im thinking 31x10.50s.

I have 5.5"

Will the stock rims work?
Will it rub on the inside of the tire? Outside dont matter, I can trim fenders if need be.

If not solutions so I can run stock rims. I know the rockcrawlers are 50 buck each but I dont have the extra money unless I buy used tire?wheel combo and I really dont what those on my jeep. . . everybody has had them at some point.

Also any semi local guys sellin tires rims let me know!
Thanks

what vehicle? what size rim is "stock"?

Sorry I was thinkin it but didint type it

96 xj the wheels are 15x7 with 5.25 BS I think

31 x10.5 tires on stock XJ rims (7" wide with lots of backspacing) will probably rub the LCA's while turning, even with 5.5" of lift. I'm sure soeone has done this, search around on NAXJA, you could probably drive around like this for a while.
You can buy new or used wheels with less backspacing, or find some spacers.
Also, at 5.5" of lift, I figure the rear sway bar is probably gone. If not, it will rub/cut the inside sidewall of the rear tires.
