Need Electrical Work in Trailer

I am looking for someone within about half an hour that can rewire a mess of a breaker box in my enclosed trailer. I thought I'd post here before taking it to a local electrical business. I am in Marston, NC 28363.
This trailer was wired when I bought it. I recently added an AC unit and it works great. A friend in OK talked me through the install over the phone and from what I described to him the trailer wiring is not right. If the 3 prong 15a plug is plugged in to power it trips a breaker as soon as I turn on power to the entire box. I disconnected the bottom wire on the three prong plug from the power source and everything works. I don't know if it is safe and I want to know it is safe because I'll be sleeping in it and running the AC 24/7 on camping trips. The trailer has a few 15a outlets and ceiling lights. I also want the AC unit put on a circuit by itself. Anyone know a good electric guy in the sandhills?

First off - that’s not a breaker box. It’s a fused disconnect. If you want things on their own circuits and not be sketchy, you need to install an actual breaker box.

Oh. I see.

Ok, I need that shitbox ripped out and a breaker box put in. Anyone want to do it? I go to high point every two weeks and can bring the trailer with me.

There is a (really good) argument to be made that in a trailer that will be ran primarily off gen power that a fast blow fuse is a better option than a thermal-mag circuit breaker. Frequently your gen wont have enough potential fault current to even trip a breaker in a time less than required to start a fire....

Years ago on a job site I noticed what looked to be a chunk of rebar being used as a fuse in one of those panels. Just SMDH and walked away after the Forman over that crew argued about it.
