Correct, I removed the wire loom & found that it does run to the alternator(thanks for the AllData picture juveteach) but I still can't find how the flat piece in the picture above connects to anything.  It come off the alternator as a red with blace trace & then has the green fusible link on the opposite side(side thats in the picture) & shows it runs to the power distribution center but I just don't see how/where it connects.  I know I'm probably missing something obvious...
