Need help with Dana44 knuckle removal

I have the manual locking hubs disassembled and i have the first spindle nut removed. there appears to be another nut behind it. the second nut that is holding me up is completely round except for one notch in it. i can't seem to get it off. is there a special tool or trick that anyone could share with me to get this off? please share any information. thanks ahead of time.

It's a lock washer. Just use your fingers to pull it out. Sometimes I use a bent pick tool.
