need more amps for my 4banger

well im looking at replaceing my alternator (2000 TJ SE) with a stouter one then at came with (90 amp i think)........has anyone used something off of a ZJ, WJ or any other factory made alt.............im trying not to drop $350+ for a mean green alt.

I believe there is a ZJ or WJ alternator out there that came in a limited number of vehicles that puts out 150 amps. I read it somewhere a long time ago so I don't have a link to the article. I am considering swapping in a Durango 136amp alternator at some point in the future but that is pretty low on the list of priorities.

I got a Durango 136 amp for $35 at the junk yard. Took 10 minutes to install. A limited production 160 amp from a Dodge would not fit my Durango but would fit my WJ.

Would not fit my Wrangler NOT my Durango. Don't have one of those.
