Busted a speaker in my 2013 super duty front door.
What brand/model do y’all recommend to replace it with?
I’d like something nice.
I’d like to just replace the front two door speakers for now.

Get on Crutchfield's website and see what they've got on sale. Lots of reviews and stuff on there too.

FWIW, I really like the Kicker C5 (I think...) speakers I got from them. Very clear sound and the price was great.

x2 on Crutchfield. Good site with lots of info. I have always been a Polk Audio fan. Like since the 80's. I have not bought anything new from them in years so IDK where they are in the grand scheme of things these days.

Multiplication factor of 3 for referencing Crotchfield.
Polk audio or Kicker. Spend the money but don’t expect them to perform without proper amplification as well. A factory head unit will not provide that.

Yeah I was afraid they would need an amp. I mean, my VW has 2 6x9 Polks and they sound good without an amp, but are not as good as they could be.

If your gonna do it run a small 4 channel amp with component speakers in the 4 corners and be happy. If you want to “future proof” it by a 5 channel so you can have the option for a small sub down the road. Just my .02.

Another +1 for Crutchfields website for figuring out what you need/want, but from my experience they are usually higher priced. If you find what you want on their site, then shop around a bit, you can usually find the same model elsewhere for a better price.

Went with some Rockford Fosgates. Install took like 15 minutes for just the front two.
sound way better than stock, but I will eventually do the rear two and an amp.

I think my Pioneer head unit has a small amp built in to it. Honestly, it jams pretty hard! Probably not as easy to swap out a head unit in those trucks though, but it could be something to consider.

I just hate the look of aftermarket radios or else I would.

I was in the same boat and I found a guy that makes custom double din dashes for 3rd gen dodges that looks factory. Maybe an option for you.

That's downright sexy!

Crutchfield x8. I bought Infinity speakers from them for multiple vehicles. Infinity has a line of speakers designed to work well with factory and aftermarket headunits aka low power (lower impedance maybe?). Well known in some car audio circles. Really happy with mine. Crutchfield has tons of research info, recommendations, and terrific customer support too.
