Before hating on me too much for asking for your opinion on such big tires for the street, here is the set up they are going on:

2002 CCLB Chevrolet 2500 HD Duramax with a SAS and about 12 inches of lift.

The truck is currently geared 4.56. I have WORN out 38x15.50x20 Mickey Thompson MTZs on it now with a good bit of clearance. They actually look small.

I'm looking for a 40-42" tire that will give good treadlife, tow mild loads, but still look somewhat aggressive. I really like the 15.50" width but it seems Toyo MTs (please don't suggest Nitto Mud Grapplers) are the only durable option here and they are very $$$. I know you gotta pay to play, so maybe I'll just have to swallow that pill.

Tires will be for either:
18"x12" Weld Racing EVO Dagger 8 OR
20"x10" Gear Alloy 715C Recoil

What tires would y'all recommend. Answers from actual Personal Experience preferred. ;)

Any thoughts on Dick Cepek Fun Country II's (40x13.50x20)? I found them for less than $400 a tire. I still dont want to spend my money though, lol . . .

Interco M-16s? Any opinions at all? If I'm gonna throw down this kind of coin, I want the best buy possible.

Really? I have heard from alot of ppl that Iroks wear out on the street pretty quick. I'm contemplating running Michelin or Continental 40" military tires. Anyone have any experience with them on the street?

Thanks Stuntman.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and pull the trigger on some 40x15.50R20 Toyo's. Where is the cheapest place to buy these tires?

Never heard any complaints out of the toyo's, the m16's look like, ride and wear very similar to a bogger. For the money your gonna spend the toyo's your best bet.

I am going to run the Michiline 12r20s. I have them sitting here waiting for the rest of my lift to go on. I got 4 tires for $400 from a guy on steel soldiers. Cost $269 to ship them from LouisvilleKY to Greenville NC.
