needed recomendations on Battery for TJ

Tried to start the jeep today and it would not start. I plan on taking it to Autozone in the AM to check it out. If I need a battery are there any recomendations? I do plan on adding a winch in a few months, besides that is there any thing else I need to know.

Hard to go wrong with an Optima. I think they are $109 with exchange, but have a 7 year warranty.
 
Blue Top...

I chose ProComp over Optima...identical warranty...almost identical ratings (PC is better in one category, Optima in another, most are the same)...

Picked mine up for $119 at 4WP...includes the seconds posts...


the 7-year warranty is on the Red Top, which is NOT what you want if you're using a winch...

Wholy crap $100 for the battery? If you guys think that it is not overkill I will purchase one. Any chance I can find one at a local Auto parts place?

i run a yellow top... powers all my crap just fine

dont get a red top... the warrentee will be void if u hook a winch to it
 
I've got a Red Top on my WJ. No winch in my near future, so the Red Top works fine.

:rolleyes: (You bring in a dead battery and say "test this" - they do, it's dead, you get a new one. You think they know/care about a winch?)

Red top going strong for years in my junk. Why pay more for a yellow?
