Prompted to hurry up so I'd have it to take it for KoH.
Kind of excited, hadn't been on a bike since I met my ex, so this is my divorce present to myself. :D
Now if I can just get a helmet that fits my apparently huge head, I'll be set. Never realized I had a Jay Leno chin until I couldn't find a friggin helmet to fit my chin. :(

Found a full face one today.
Getting a dirt bike style one too.

Managed to lay it down today already.
Stupid lady in an SUV came out the wrong way on a one way street (divided by median) at me with no lights as I went to get gas.
Shot over the curb, lost control and laid it down in the grass.
:(
hurt my pride and the brake pedal.

Stupid people. (And I need to get better at riding.)
haha

pics of said chin please....

That a DR400? I've got two DR200's, a 99 and an 01. They're pretty good bikes, although they were known for being underpowered. Not the case with the 400's though!

Have fun with that and stay safe! The nice thing about a Dual sport or dirtbike is that when you lay it down, parts/plastics are cheap! A full fairing streetbike will cost HUGE $$$$$ to fix!

I'm sure you've heard this before, but ride like your invisible, and assume nobody can see you! Its a good rule to ride by!

When you gonna let me drive it?
I know better than that :flipoff2:

It's a 650. I'm not a little guy, and everyone was very insistent that the 250s or even the 400s would be underpowered for me on the highway. That said, she'll scoot quite a bit more than I'm comfortable with at my skill level. :D

Ah right, I wasn't quite sure. Tbh though, the 400's still have between 40-60hp. For a beginner, or someone who hasn't ridden in a while, thats PLENTY!

Ride safe!
