New bumper on project yota (with pics)

I recently bought an 88 Toyota pickup to slowly build on as the funds become available. I have installed a brush guard that was given to me and custom built a rear bumper. I will post more pictures as i work on it.

well i got a good deal on a set of wheels that were 3" narrower which will allow me to air down more and i made some money off the deal

Looking good I'm sure will serv much stronger than the old stock on.

bumper and wheels look good. what are those D shackles rated for though?

They look to be the medium size ones....I'd use them to strap stuff down on a tralier but not to pull things....but depending on the thickness of the metal/weld holding them on. They might get pulled off before they break.

i had originaly got them for a place to hook safety chains of a small trailer that i have, the large ones were to big for the hooks. I will probably end up putting the big one on although i have the receiver hook

i got a hold of some rectangle tubing that was given to me so i decided to build some sliders. it turns out i didn't have enough to make them go all the way to the back wheel well, if i end up taking the bed off and i guess they will work good to protect the cab

also in the plans is taking the brush guard off and building a tube bumper with an xrc8 winch

ordered a spartan locker by yukon today. supposed to be here thursday, excited to see how well it works

I installed spartan lockers in amajeepman's yellow TJ and was very pleased with how easy they were to install. There pretty much idiot proof. He seems very happy with how well they work.

got the new locker installed with the help of a couple of buddies. Went in smooth and works great so far

took it out behind the house sunday evening, and it did great. so far the best $$ i have spent. As far as on the road i have heard it lock twice and when it does you can barley hear it.
