My Wife and I are hopping on a plane on Saturday to go pick up our Son that we have just adopted from Guatemala. He is 9 months old and we have waited a very long time for this day.

Well we just got back from the US Embassy and we will pick up his VISA tomorrow.

This is the first time I have ever been to a 3rd World country. I can not believe the living conditions of the poor here. I would say that our homeless people have it better than the poor here. there were 2 little girl begging for money when we got off the airplane. as we flew over some houses before we landed it looked like a bomb had gone off and destroyed the houses. I looked closer and that was just the way it was. there is no place in the worst areas in the USA that would even come close.

There are many Adoptive parents here in the hotel and all of the little boys and girls are very cute. There are so many more that need good homes. my wife and I were only going to adopt 1 Child but now we are thinking about doing it again in the future.

I had always thought that Adopting a child was a choice that would we would make if we could not have Biological Children, but now even if we could I would still opt to adopt
