Hey everyone, just figured I'd make a thread since the forum suggested this as the place. I was referred here by my roommate, GoneMuddin1. I'm a long time truck guy, but am just now getting into 4x4's. Ever since I was 15 I've owned lowered Chevy S10's. I've still got my first one, a lowered green 1996 S10 on 18" rims. I used to have a 1989 S10 that layed frame with an airbag suspension. I sold it this spring and with the money began searching for a 4x4 fullsize. Last week I purchased a 1988 Ford F150 XLT Lariat 4x4 that I plan to lift 4" on 33's and maybe a few more things. I'm just gonna have fun with it. I've already taken it wheelin once on trails a friend cut through his several acres of wooded property. The truck did pretty good for stock height, but I do think a lift and some M/T's will help a lot.

I already made a thread with pictures of my truck. Here it is:

Welcome! Saw your pics. Nice looking truck. I'd wheel it stock for a while, then decide what you need to better your experience or get over then next hill. You'd be amazed how far a stock rig will go.

Thanks man. I took her off road twice and then the power steering gave way. Not my fault though, I still think it was just aged seals. I found out though that I need experience and better tires more than anything right now. Those A/T's get full of mud so easy that by the time I get to where I need some grip, I may as well be riding on a bald tire. :( I can't wait to get me some M/T's. That'll make a world of difference!!
