Went up to Callalantee and did trail work Thursday and Friday before heading to Harlan for the KYMC workday. Thursday I cleared the top part of Easy Out to allow access to the left side of the ledge. Easy Out seems to have a real nice base slab of rock that runs from about half way up the section to the top, maybe further. Should provide a nice "slickrock" kind of section after it erodes a bit. Friday I did some work on the rock garden, "Top Of The World" (TOW), off of the red/yellow trail. I cleared a new line around on the left flank of the rock and cleared most everything off the immediate top. The right side of TOW is eroding nicely and I had a bit of a problem making it up Sunday when I went back to ride. The middle, World Wall, is getting just about impossible. I did manage to widen the access some so there are several different Wall lines but it's a pretty imposing step. I heard that kc4x4 made it most of the way up the left line of World Wall Saturday but suffered a rear steer malfunction that prevented him from making it all the way to the top. He did come back down the new line of TOW but to date no one has really attempted it to my knowledge, with everyone passing on it both Saturday and Sunday. Didn't get pics of it but it's a loose, rocky climb with a medium step at the top. Can't wait to get back up there and give it a go and do some more World clearing Here's before and after pics of Easy Out.
