ok so I bought a new deck and I thought I wired it all up right . I'm doing this withoutthe adapter harness. and the sub is wired up and working but only when I move the sounds to the left. I have no clue what to do to. I guess there should be a remote and then the 4 wires from the rear speakers should be spliced and will drive the sub. I don't know. hopefully someone can help.

Did you just remove the factory head unit? It's possible there was a stock amplifier. (2 of my past yotas have had them). Also look real close at the wiring instructions that came with the head unit. If I recall correctly (from 15 years ago) some head units, you may need to use the positive lead from one side and the negative lead from the other side (rear outputs) for the subwoofer. This was a Pioneer head unit I believe.

what kind of vehicle?

Why not just use the adapter harness? It's less than $10 and will give you a much cleaner installation. Assuming you're referring to the TJ in your profile. I used a harness to install mine, and my stock subwoofer works fine.
