I just got some new riding boots. The 2010 Fly Maverik in black. Its my first pair of riding boots and curious if anyone has some good ways to break em in while not on the bike. Rode some today and was having a hard time shifting and braking without locking up the rear tire. I watched a video on youtube but thought maybe someone else had some other suggestions.

Heres the vid I watched.

my buddy told me to soak them in hot water and wear them until they dry out and they will be broke in

One thing I had to do was take the brake lever and shift lever off and turn them down a few splines on their shafts. I like for my toe to be pointed down some to hit the rear brakes. If you trail ride just be careful not to turn it down too far it'll hit stuff.

I was told to get them wet and wear em until they dry. that it would help the leather conform to my feet. I may try that.
