New rig trial

I want to go test a new rig possibly this weekend, but don't want to go far in case i have some mechanical issues. When does uwharrie close for the season? Also does anyone go to Brown mountain (Morganton area), and have any info on it? Thanks

brown mt has only 2 trails for trucks but some fun stuff to play on and it's easy to get a rig out if you have problems

Brown Mtn. is awesome for atv/utv's. I probably wouldn't take my 4x4 up there though. Not really too many challenges when I was up there last. Unless some drastic changes were made, its more of an atv trail system. Never been to URE, so can't help you out there. If you do want to try Brown Mtn though, there is only a couple places to pay. One is past the trail head a few miles (coming from Morganton side) at a BP gas station. People kept breaking into the honor system box and stealing the money so they don't sell passes in the trails anymore.

Don't waist your time at brown mountain your better off at uwharrie
but if you insist on going toward morganton go past and on to mountain city callante
