New tires

I picked up some H2 wheels for the Dodge tonight and now I need to put some new tires on them. I guess I'm going buck up and buy a new set. I'm leaning twoards Nitto Terra Grappers....They would be 285s. How many miles are yaul getting out of them? Any other tires yaul like? I don't really need anything agressive. Where have yaul bought them from? I think I might get mine from 4wheelparts so I can get the tire warranty.

i'm running the bfg AT's on mine. they are wearing REALLY well. got allmost 40k on them with lots of tread still.
SAMS club had a pretty good price on tires w/mounting

I bought mine from the Tire Rack and had them mounted and balanced at sears.
 
I use BFG at's on my work vehicles and usually get at least 45k out of them. And I drive it like...

I have about 30k on my 37" Nitto Terra Grapps and they are still going strong, also had about 25k on a set of 295/70/17 Terra Grapps before I sold them, and that guy has been running them for about a year now, and they still look good. I really liked the tires, quiet, handled loads well, low rolling resistance for a AT, and were great in the sand and wet grassy fields, never used them any more offroad than that.
 
nitto dura grappler is what i would run ... we put some on a 3500 ram (285/70/17). they looked and rode great and they claim good mileage.
 
im running 265 nitto terras on my 2500hd chevy. I have put around 15k on them and they are wearing pretty fast. I put load ds on it, maybe i shoulda went with load e? They do ride very well and handle good too.
 
I'm def going to go with E tires.....Swampy is pretty heavy
 
Guy here at work has TreadWright re-caps on his truck and seems happy with them. I did some searching last night and haven't read of any unhappy customers....
 
I run cooper discoverer HT's. I could not be happier. I got 65K out of the last set. They lare quiet, handle well and very afforadable. The last ones I bought were 245's and paid right at 140 per tire.
 
I'm liking the 285/70-17 E Nitto Dura Grapplers I put on about 5k miles back. Definitely more highway oriented, but it's not a trail rig and we don't seem to get much snow down here in the foothills anyway. Although I have heard they do well on slick roads because of the siping in every tread block.

Jeff, i've had about 5 or 6 sets of terra grapplers over the years. They are good riding, grip good, quiet, look good and are cheap compared to others. They don't last the greatest for me, but they are a lot cheaper. I get between 30,000 and 35,000 on every set, but i drive like im pissed off most of the time. Give Dustin a call, he straight hooks me up on them every time.
 
Cooper Zion LTZ....... Really like them. They wear well, handle well, and grip well......

Nitto's are good too. Had a set of them also. Next set of tires will be one of the two.
 
I'm running the Terra Grapplers on my Ram 1500. 295/70/17 and so far I've put about 15k on them and have about 75% tread left. I expect to get about 40-45k out of them. This is my second set. Once you get down to about 30% tread you will find they get loud and the rear has a tendency to slide on wet roads. I will not purchase these tires again. My advice is to go with the BFG AT or Pro-Comp AT.
 
Got a set of dura grapplers from rides friday, they seem to ride good, and the wet weather traction seems good so far. Cant say too much yet though, my clutch master went out that night. I will report back after some miles.
