I picked it up this afternoon. 304/3spd (I think)/D20 (I think)/D30/D44/2" shackle/32s

Can't wait to have this thing running and driving.

From the picture it looks to be in decent shape, someone elses project they gave up on? Do you have the rest of the parts or are they missing? Whats it gonna take to get it running and driving? Keeping the XJ?

The body on that jeep looks good. Sounds like you have a got a pretty good deal. What are your plans for it?

That thing is in way better shape than i thought it would be considering the price you payed...well..the body is at least. Now if I can just get somebody to buy the Ford so I can buy the XJ off of ya.

Yea, it's a fiberglass body. The body is in almost perfect shape except for one small crack where the roll bar is mounted. The frame looks to be in good shape, one of the body mounts might need replacing, but that's to be expected. The drivetrain is supposedly in good condition too.

It needs a crapload of wiring and the body needs to be attached solidly to the frame. It also needs seats and from glancing at the brake system, it probably needs to be entirely replaced. Assuming the engine runs with a little coaxing, it should be good to go after that. Oh and a windshield.

The XJ is probably going to go stay with TheGeneral. Hell, he did most of the work on it anyway. I'll get some better pictures in the morning after I clean it up.

So they just bolted the roll bar to the rear fender area like on the original body? It isn't the first time I've seen some do that.

It's not even bolted. The roll bar is about a half inch too wide for the new body, but the previous owner "made it fit."
