I'm thinking about cutting up and old 44" tire and making fenders out of it. Got to find one first...
This is what it looked like when I bought it. ($900.00)

It had new tires. And brakes on one axle.
I rewired it with new lights (LED's), cut a bunch of stuff off of it and, sanded/ painted it. Finished the deck (one board) and installed an old tool box I had lying around.
Wanted:
one- 44" tire for 15" rim (for spare)
one- 44" tire for any size rim any condition (I don't care if it holds air or not)
near Charlotte, NC please

I know of this guy at NC State with 3 40" that don't hold air anymore..

Sorry, had to go there...

I love the old drive over ramps... looks like they did their job well though!

I think if I take one 44 and cut it horizontal and vertical (4 pieces) it would do all 4 trailer tires. I'm not sure a 40 would be big enough. Got the guys e-mail addy? Yes, I'm serious.... if you don't believe me take a closer look at that rig... lol:flipoff2:

FYI sure you know but any trailer towed over 10K need yearly inspection and driver needs CDL if things are still the same. "Camper and farm stuff is not part of the law" I wanted a 12K but when I found all the stuff I went 9990 lb trailer.

Are they 6 lug? think most you can go 6 lug is 5250 axle????? Thats what mine has wanted 8 lug its 6k or more and would have cost me good bit more.

i have a 6 lug 10ton trailer so thats out.

Aaron i still need to get up with u one day about some rockwell tech.

Looks good after all the work. I have a small video of you climbing Kodak rock in that monster rig of yours somewhere from this past year.

You have a 6 lug that is 10 ton? thats 20,000 lb must be dual or army type that is the big 6 lug. Could be 3-4 axles to. Cool
Most 6 lug are 4500-5250 making it in the 8000lb 4 ton to 10,000 lb 5 ton.
Most the 8 lug that I have seen are 6k to 7k making it a 12k to 14K trailer.
Or you could go 3-4 axles like some people do.

its a 10ton with 16" rims real common, they have a 8lug but its is 16.5
