First order of business is to get it on the road. It has sat for almost 2 years and needs inspection and tags.

Then to find a matching set of tires.

Any other uprgrades anyone would suggest? Will be using it for either towing my K5, or my buddies XJ

Change all the fluids.
Put a tranny cooler on it
Install a brake controller
good set of load rated tires
A good rated hitch if it doesn't have one
Check the brake shoe/pad condition

Fluids were all changed that day. Everything looks good. It's got a high class hitch, i cant remember which one though. And I found a set of E rated ATs.

nice... howd you manage that for free!

^^^^ what he said! nice truck. should have talked him down a little on the price though:)

Check the cooling system for leaks . Change all belts and hoses. Check CV's. When you said all fluids were changed does that include diffs, tranny etc? As well as the other stuff mentioned.

Good deal.

Well it was my dads truck. He worked out of it. Well his business died about 2 years ago. So it sat in the back yard, then developed a starting problem where it would start once a week. Well turns out all the spark plugs were screwed, and dad thought it was the fuel system. So a new set of plugs, and boom, I got me a truck. Lol.

Yeah, both diffs, tranny, oil, coolant flush. I think one of the CVs might be out, but that'll be after tires. It pulls hard to the right when in 4 wheel. It needs an alignment bad too. Lol.
