For anyone thats been, what is there to do in NY city?

My wife and I will be there Sept. 24 and 25. So far we are going to see Wicked at Gershaw Theater on the 24th and the Yankees vs. Boston game Friday night.

We've been there before, so we've seen Ground Zero and Central Station, Rockefeller Center, and Statue of Liberty.

Any other attractions anyone recommends? How about places to eat?

Thanks.

There's a good restaurant in Bryant Park near times square on a nice night its an awesome place to eat outdoors

Just got back from there this weekend. Did the whole Rockefeller thing which is still one of the best ways to see the city from above. Wicked should be a good show. We saw Mary Poppins at New Amsterdam Theater and was an incredible production. Scored 2nd row seats for mezzanine prices.

Have a fat kid moment by going and getting some Magnolias Bakery or Crumbs cupcakes. haha
PJ Clarkes has some great food and a few locations one is right across from the Met.
Get to the Hudson Hotel before 10 and go have drinks at their rooftop lounge. 15th floor, follow the signs to the sky lounge IIRC. The W in Times Square has an awesome lounge on the 7th floor as well and is a short walk from Broadway.

We'll prob. be stayin at The Reserve, right in the Theater District. So, we should have some time Thursday night to eat some good food. Friday will be full of whatever we want to do and the Yankees game that night :)

Just got the Wicked tickets. Found some 3rd row for mezz price but the seats are really far to one side. So, I just got the mezz tickets as that place is pretty small anyway so I don't think we'll be missing much of anything.

Kat'z deli has the best pastrami & rye - lotsa character in that old shop (It's the restaurant from "When harry Met Sally" - the fake orgasm scene.)

If you love a good steak.. Peter Luger steakhouse...cannot be beat. Best steak in NYC 24 years in a row. Shit ain't cheap though, but it was the most amazing steak I've ever had.

Steak for 2, and do it.

+1 on Peter Luger's....

Great steak, at a hefty price tag.

Times Square at 2-3Am is still incredible to me.

I've been reading up on Peter Lugars and the reviews are either people love it or people hate it...

I'm sure I'd like it but I don't think my better half will. That being said, we'll prob. head to Del Frisco or AJ Maxwell's

Places I always stop when I visit the city
Grey's Papaya (the original on 116 Waverly Place)
Sams Falafel House (231 Thompson St)
Bleecker Street for some night time partying
McSorleys Irish pub 150 some odd years old this year (15 East 7th street).
I like to eat alot

you could go to st patrick's cathedral to see the marble statues , go see the gold water fall at trump plaza, 42d ave is all disney now,go to central park( in the day). then you can go to china town or over ti little Italy. man the list goes on on .

If you like Italian food, deff visit Little Italy... I enjoyed just walkin around Times Square & the city at night... They film Letterman during the afternoons M-Th, & tickets are free if you register in the morning...

You can't visit NY w/o riding the subway. It's an adventure on it's own. Just don't ride it at night. I met my one and only ever real transvestite on there. Long story short it almost got my wife and I killed by a gang by us being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Let me tell you he was HOT too. Had me fooled big time till she told me she was a dude.

yeah, we did the subway thing last time but I'm sure we'll do it again since the Friday night Yankees game is way across town from the hotel.

Be careful not to jump on the express train to somewhere you don't want to go. My cousin ended up on an express to Harlem when he just wanted to go north a few stops. Let's just say he didn't fit in but he did make it back alive.

I liked seeing the USS Intrepid :
