finally got me a trailer, its used...... used alot.
unfortunatally it has M.H. axles, but i'm going to run them for the time being. the front has breaks and the tires are really warn.
sooooooooo... . . . . . . . .
my trailer is bent. bent between the axles.
what is the easiest way the get it back straight?
i'm going to be adding more 3" c-channel under it to help strengthen it.
i was thinking put jack stands in all 4 corners and drive my dodge 3500 on it till its good, but i cant get my truck that high.
i have cut the railing off the sides and will be adding angle to make it wider.

pic to see what i'm working with.

looks like the axle are too far forwards. They should be 2/3 of the way back of the deck. I would move the axles then leave the little bow. If you did want to straighted it when the axles are off just put 4x4's under each end and drive you truck on it.

I thought they were to far forward also. Im going to look into moving them back some. I thought about putting jack stands under the tounge and strapping the center down, then get my floor jack under the rear.

i searched google to see were my axles should be. i found that they are supposed to be 1.5 feet back from center. as or right now they are .5 back from center.
should i move then back 1.5 feet (which puts me 2 feet from center) since my trailer is 17 foot long? that should also put the bend right above the front spring mount

I have built a couple of trailers, and I usually use a 60/40 set up. So if your trailer deck is 17' long, 60% of that will put the axles 10'-2.5" from the front of the deck.

Do you have any pics of that bumper?

not really. love it. looks great thanks alot.

ill have to see were the center of the axles end up. prob going to move it and try to bend it.

Basically, the rule is 1" back from center for each foot of length. So 17" back for a 17' trailer.
