Nissan Transmission help

I have my neighbors nissan truck that needs a tranny. It is a v6 4x4. I was wondering if the tranny is the same between a 4 cyl and a v6. Anyone know or have the right tranny? Thank You, Rob

as far as i know the 2 engines do not share the same tranny.

I think that it is a 98 model. I was told the transfer cases were the same.

in 1998 there was not a v-6 offered. only a 4 cylinder.

You are right. The year model is an 88. I was just guessing, and I was wrong. Now back to the original question.
