Im Wayne from Asheville just found the forum its awesome haha I've had lifted trucks before but never messed with axels and was wondering what exactly a carrier is? Im lookin at this 77 k10 that needs a new carrier and was wondering replacement cost

The carrier is the portion of the diff that houses the spider gears. If it's a 10 bolt you've got, now is the time to upgrade.

Welcome to the board!

This is a Carrier

What are your plans for the truck, What size tires and so on will make a difference in the axles you select. Like he said above^^^ it has allot to do with what your wanting to spend.

You can probably find a 10 bolt carrier on line if you look for one if you looking to just replace it.

Left Open 10blts will last for a while on 35s even with healthy skinny peal application and bounce factor
