Now that is a Serious Kick

I took Tae Kwon Do for 10 years. The tornado roundhouse was my favorite kick of all... for that very reason. It looks cool and packs a whallop!
 
I used to love using the roundhouse kick. We hard another kick called a flying front snap that had about the same result if you landed it.
 
I used to love flying side kicks during exams and exhibitions. I was a teenager and I'd run and jump over 6 or 7 people layed down on the ground, then break a board or two with the side kick on the way down.... Audience and the younger students used to love it, fun times :D

And what belt was everyone here? After 10 years of Tae Kwon Do what belt were you? Wow it looks like a lot of you too martial arts. Thats kool. So did I. Well any of you guys have trophy's from tourneys?? :p :)
 
I was a 4th degree Black. I'm too fat and out of shape to do any serious ass-kickin' anymore though :D

I bet you have a fare share of trophy's and medels and stuff from those 10 years.:Rockon:
 
What an idiot.... I still see this sometimes in the UFC. When your opponent turns his back to you you know what's coming!!!! A spinning kick or punch or sort. Then you.... SHOOT FOR THE TAKEDOWN OR BACK OUT...... Hope the guy learns for next time.

The tornado is a defensive (reactive) attack, if that makes any sense. If you watch closely, the guy in the red makes the first move, a little "fake" front kick thing. The guy in the blue reacted when he saw the opportunity and executed perfectly in an ideal situation for that move. The guy in the red also dropped his hands like a dumbass when he did his little front kick check... he got what was comin' to him.
 
Sorry forgot this stuff has all kinds of rules....

When you fake you are waiting for a reaction.... He had plenty of time to react to the spin and BACK OUT... if possible (according to rules) tilt head in forward and right (using your shoulder/upper arm as a sheild) and strike with left cross as opponent turns around to face you.....

I never made black belt but man I used to enjoy the hell out of it. Like you I am to heavy and slow to do any serious ass kicking now days.
 
chuck norris would be proud of that guy.

and then proceed to roundhouse kick him in the face.
