Now the Jeep wont start...

Guess the lift is out for now POS wont start.

I crank the key for like 10 seconds and sometimes the engine starts but it barely turns over, it gets to the 1k RPM range, and if i try to give it gas, it dies.

I dont think Im out of gas (light is on, but I shouldnt be out). And we tried to fill it, but that didnt do anything.

Its a 98 SE, 4cyl.

Any tips on what to check?

how much gas did you put in it?
sounds like a typical shortage of gas to me.

as much as we could.

I suppose thats most likely the problem...but I dont understand how its possible that its empty like that.

My driveway is quite hilly.

but more gas in and stop cranking it with no gas unless you want to burn out your fuel pump

Well its definitely not a gas shortage..

Its running now, but on 3 cylinders...

I dont, but my dad could tell..

It still sounds weird, we put about 3 1/2 gallons of gas in it and its still not up to what it should be.
