I tore down a 205 I got a while back today. I bought it for the tranny connected to it. the tranny was for my tow rig but I am thinking of using this for my doubler setup. I have my 203 already but have been looking for a 32 spline input 205 for a while and can't find one. This case isn't 32 spline it is 10 but I can get the 32 spline shaft from nwf for $160 with bearing and seal and have my old boss machine case for free. My question is when I took case apart I noticed some parts were worn what seemed to be alot. here are some pics what do you think. In first and second pic you will see why the t-case wasn't working to well. In third and fourth pic you will see the worn clutch ring and gear. sorry for blurry pics hopefully you can tell how worn they are if not let me know I'll try to get better pics. My question is for the experienced ones out there. Is this normal wear or abnormal wear. The case came from a blazer on 38's and judging from the input shaft the thing saw plenty of abuse so I am guessing it is more than normal wear. This is my first complete tear down so I have no idea. the manual I am using says if worn to replace but the darn things cost $130 a piece (anybody know better place to buy than quad4x4.com) so I am asking should I replace the damaged clutch collars and input shaft or get another t-case that came from behind a th400. I would like to know what you guys think. Thanks for your input guys and here are the pics
