NV 208 t-case in yj

Anyone done a nv208 t-case in a yj? Thinking of clocking one to flat and flat belly skid plate.
Any forseen problems, yes or no.
Need to upgrade due to the 4x4 cross.
 
An NP208 is a very wide TC. It may hit the frame rail when clocked flat. I don't have any experience with this, but it is something you might want to investigate. I want to say that the centerline of the front output shaft is 12.75-13" from the input.
 
I have a couple of friends that put 208 in their YJ's...

They are freakin' wide and take up lots of room between a Jeep's narrow framerails. If running an automatic transmission the width of a 208 can be an asset in helping the front driveshaft clear the tranny pan.

However, I think a NP231 (or D300) is a much better fit in a Jeep for most situations...
 
Yes, I ran one of those on my Bronco. I think I still have it. If I can find it, I'll let it go cheap.
