Time for some good go-cart racing, meet, greet, and good food and drinks.
Tuesday, October 2.
Official time is 8pm @ The PIT in Mooresville. Originally this was going to be a very structured event but after feedback from everyone and costs, it will not be quite as structured. I'll still offer up a couple trophies and some shirts for the group provided that:
you race up to 3 races
let me know the place you finished and I'll add it to the score sheet
We won't have the place to ourselves, its just too risky and potentially costly at this time for the group that would commit themselves unless we have at least 30 people committed.
Info on the PIT is here: http://www.meetatthepit.com/
Check the website for pricing. you are 100% responsible for all racing and costs. This is not an ECORS sanctioned event, so you are on your own with safety and such. Be responsible...
Heres how it will work. Buy at least 3 races. Get in line and race. Let me know what place you finish at each of your races. I'll count up the points and declare a winner. I'll give the top 3 a shirt and trophy (I think I have 3 "blanks" at home). If you race more than 3 races, pick the best 3. This will be an honor system; I'm not watching every race and I'll expect everyone to police themselves. We'll meet up then give out the prizes.
If you don't care about placing in the top 3, just come out for some fun and race 1 or 2 go carts. Or, hit up the batting cages if you want. Its kid and family friendly, too. Even if you don't want to race, just come out and spend time with everyone!
For food and drinks, we can meet up at Lancaster's BBQ before-hand. They close at 9pm, so there isn't a way to head there after racing.
