apparently I posted in the wrong group has anyone used an offset Dana 44 rear axle in a cj7 from what I have read the driveshaft will be to the right or left

The axle was from a j10 year unknown with leaf springs

Sounds like a 74ish-79 Quadratrac truck (full time transfer case). Pretty much a full width axle...around 63-65" IIRC. Offset is to the passenger side and is the same amount of offset at the front. Great upgrade for a full width on a Quadratrac CJ7. Doubt it would work on the road with a centered rear output tcase unless the rear is stretched a good bit.
