Oil leak on 2001.5 ctd

I've got an oil leak on the 01 ctd 2500. I've cleaned it up underneath to try and figure out where it's leaking from. The only places I can see it coming from is from the bolts holding the oil pan onto the block.
I've been told I can use an engine hoist and lift the motor just enough to get the pan out. I have also seen that it is common for these motors to leak quickly after changing the gasket if they didn't use an rtv sealant at the same time.
Suggestions?
Also, does anyone have recommendations for shops that could tackle this in Raleigh?

Sure it's not coming from the vacuum pump seal? Clean it all off really well then let it run without driving it so you can get a better idea of where it's leaking

I've done a lot more research since I posted this. I've looked a lot harder at the leak and I think it's coming from the 'side cover'? It's on the driver side of the block, towards the middle of the motor.

I know it's a crapy picture, but if you can imagine the side of the block there, there's a lip where two peices meet that forms a backwards nike swoosh almost - that's where it's wet.

And in that last pic you can see where it's draining down the side of the bell housing. I opened the inspection cover and it's dry in there, so I know it's not the rear main.

Where is that seal? I can't get anyone to respond to me when I ask where it is, and I can't find it anywhere online.
