has anyone ever ran leaf springs on the front of a zj with a 44? i have a 60 rear and want to run a 44 in front, i have every thing but front axle to do this but need some support. any pics or info will help.

Go check out NAGCA.com and Mallcrawlin.com and search for leaf springs. I am sure someone has.

well

i have all the stuff to do it,new springs the whole 9,and have you seen those crazy prices for a 1/2 way decent kit? i like the idea so gonna roll with it,i'm gonna pay my dues monday to become a member so ,i might do a build tread on it,but not sure.

Leaf springs are ok! But you are giving up a ton flex potential by going to leafs especially if you are putting a lift in. Leaf lift springs are stiff and almost never flex as good as coils.

I think you will be highly disappointed once finished that you didn't spend the extra couple bucks and go with coils.

yeah

yeah your right the flex will not be the same but the cost is way different,i paid $900 dollars for every thing from the springs to brake lines metal to plate the frame and the hangers the whole 9.and the best kit i could find was iron rock kit an it was $1700 anyways ive got the springs hung in the rear an the dana 60 goes in tonight, and the rear wheels and tires. tsl 38-13-16's gonna look nasty!!!!!!

have you talked to any of the awesome fabricators on this site? you dont necesarily have to buy something off the shelf.

i'm guessing you probably could of come out for half what your leafs would cost.

well

the leafs for all 4 was $500 bucks.everyone i know including my self couldn't make them for that.after buying dom ,joints and ever thing like coils, track bar ect. it was gonna cost way to much. i think it will be pretty sweet after its done.and most people may think im stupid for doing it but a least ill be the only one with a zj with this swap, cause i can't find any other ones out there on the net. anyways all the toyotas have springs and they have nasty flex on them,so why not a zj!

what you got a buget boost? im running 38s unless you want to cut up the body your not running any meat! whats up mosh? long time no c. putting rear in tonight,it will be done soon!

budget boost, mmm, that's cute. RE Kit with everything except Uppers. But now that you mention 38's, you would be hard pressed to find a kit that would fit 38's under ZJ.... wonder why?

well

its 3 in the morning and the jeep has rear springs with a dana 60 mmmmm.... ha, ha, ha ,and 38's. it looks nasty. turned out way better than i thought, thanks for the feed back guys. and how did you get a re kit so cheap? i looked and the price was higher than hell, but they are very nice kits though.

Check out cardomain.com i know a few guys that run leaf front I wouldn't tho just loss of the nasty flex ya get with coil ive got a d44 out of waggy that i'm settin up with coil spring might wanna look into this man i know bunch of guys on here can do the work and fad for cheaper... good luck post pics of what ya do!!!!!

thanks for the pics man

you know a simple hey thats cool would be nice every now an then. but everybody keeps saying i need coils. if i wanted coils i would have keep them, anyways the rig is turning out nice so far and maybe with leafs i can flex like all those other guys that still run leafs.you know the ones that are all twisted up.:and we don't pay for what we all ready know how to do!

Don't worry about what everyone's saying. Your Jeep looks rowdy as hell and I'm sure it's going to work just as good as it looks! Good luck with the build man!
