I remember as a kid, going to the movies, buying popcorn and a drink, and having a really good time.
The last time I went to the movie, it was well .....expensive! And that was a long time ago.

So I went to work where I was laid off back in 2001 and they sent me a birthday card with two movie passes for my plenty-ninth birthday. I have cable, and pay channels, I prefer to watch movies in my own home. So I care nothing about going.

The passes are for "Marquee Cinemas" I know they are located in Hickory NC, but not sure where else. So only write if you can use them.

What I want is for those interested in the tickets to write and say why. It may because you can't afford it, it may be because you have a special someone you want to take out. What ever reason, just write about it.

I am going to incorporate the board advisor's to make the choice as to who they will go to.

One week, then the choice will be made.

Because I live in Hickory, so the movies is about ALL there is to do (as you know)

Because im a college kid with no current job

And because i still havent seen Spiderman 3 :lol:

I forgot to mention. they are not valid for new releases untill they have been in the theater for 14 days.

also my 3 yr daughter wants to go see shrek 3
but I'm sure someone else could use them more then I could I am blessed with a good job right now
 
I want 'em because I spent all our money on some damn rockwell build, and my wife wants to go drool over Johnny Depp.. :lol:
 
There actually isn't a marquee cinemas in hickory. The only one around is in morganton. So you're in luck. Take the great grandchildren to shrek 3? :flipoff2:
 
I haven't paid for a movie since I was a junior in high school.

One of the perks of working at a theatre in high school and the summer after freshman year in college, and befriending the managers.

Yeah I thought Marquee Cinemas didnt seem familiar to me...

with the price of gas, driving to Morganton would be about equal to driving to hickory and paying for 2 tickets :lol:
