And the crap I just took off my XJ was the wrong way!!!
Want a 9" lift, I guess all you have to do is use
2 -2" spacers stacked, then at the bottom,
weld a part of another coil to it, lol

it actually was real good going down the road before,
but rides so much better now, lol...

I didn't know the wrong way could get SO wrong.

WHo the F wants 9" of lift anyways?

If the ride height was really 9" of lift and this is how the PO did it... I want pics of the steering!

If I built it it would be a bit different, but I just got it
I'll probably step down to about 6" and 35s when it's time for tires
but I dont have the cash to change it right now
as it is the wife is going to kill me when she sees the coils on the credit card

best one I have of the steering right now

that dont look like 9 inchs of lift, i had 5.5 rubicon express on mine and looks about what mine looked like.

Measuring from top of axle tube to bottom of "frame" rail it's 9" over stock,
and the springs I bought were listed as 8.5"-9" lift
and it sits exactly as it did with the old springs (when I measured)..

What size tires you running?

Ha, you guys should see some of the crap that customers drive in everyday over at Galloways, there's this one dude with a square body f250 or 350 with stacked blocks front and rear, 2 ubolts welded together to make them long enough for the extra blocks, and the most god awful booger looking "homemade" extended/drop pitman arm that is welded at an almost strait up and down angle I don't know how it has any turning radius besides the fact that it holds together at all.

I'm gonna try and snap a pic of it if he comes back again :shaking:

I think the politically correct term for these engineering feats is "cracker crafting".

Lol, that sounds like one XJ I looked at before this one.. the pitman arm was the same way, cut and had a straight down bar welded in the middle, not only that, but I looked at the rear and he also had HUGE blocks, and under the blocks shims, but the shims were the wrong way and his pinion was pointing almost straight up, AND the shims and blocks locating pins were not even in the holes, and one shim had fallen out, so you could see about 1/2" of daylight between the axle and the block.. IT was scary!!! Didn't even want to take that one for a test drive, lol

I think that black rattlecan stuff looks great. I didn't realize this was the jeep that coil crap came off of. Also, a beach vehicle I now understand the more lift height.

I guess looks are deceiving, doesn't look anywhere close to double mine that's just short of 5" above stock, but if you bought coils rated to that height and measured from rails to axle you can't argue with the results!

Just saw another pic of this XJ in another thread. You can really see the full extent of the lift better from the front...

Thanks...
Ya, unfortunately I am on the coast, so there is nothing but sand or mud around here, and it sucks!! lol
But a guy around the corner from my work is also taller than me on 40s (I'm on 36s) and it seems to work well at URE.
But ya, mine works fine on the forklift, and the beach so far, lol

Not sure on the paint code, it's not the original color...
It was originally dark metallic green.. sorry :(

Looks sorta like the metallic blue on my CJ ...but I'm not posting a pic of my rig in this thread :p

Now you're prolly thinkin WTH do I care about some SAS liberty?

Well for one, it actually looks good lifted and with some meats.....and its RARE.
Like seeing a SAS Rodeo.
There's only a few of those too, but you don't see us in the magazines!!! ha ha ha:flipoff2:

I believe we'll actually have one or two in Tenn for the toy run.
I know for sure one of them has a coil set up that is redonkulous.
