unless im not mistaken..thats the predecessor to the millenium falcon. i heard that thing did the kessel run in 3 par-secs.

man that thing is huge... I seen something on the military channel about this thing one time but it didnt look that big....
 
Would it even be possible for that to fly? I know NOTHING about planes, but aren't the engines placed awfully far forward?

not meant to fly but a few meters off the water. Called Ground Effect. As I understand it, It relies on the add air pressure of flying so low to the surface to gain any lift.
 
Same era as spruce goose?
 
Just show when you have enough money you can try to build anything.
