old box spring project

I have this old box spring I need to get rid of. Besides the obvious 'douse it in gasoline and watch it burn', anyone have a better idea on what to do with it? Be creative...

Attempt to waterproof the outside and turn it into a shoddy raft. Shove a big flag in the center and leave a volleyball on it with a handprint, push it out onto belews labor day weekend and watch people react.
