Signing papers on a house :)

2nd leap will come at the end of May...

If I had a picture of the house I'd post it. Buying it from a friend's mom (he's a fellow wheeler too).

And I thought it was nice not having a truck payment every month, there goes the "no payment every month" out the window :shaking:

congratulations. it really is a never ending project, and i promiss, you will get to the point of HATING the home depot.

Congrats.....but you will always be working on it in some fashion.

But it's a great step!

Be sure you lubricate your signing/writing hand really well before going in. The stack of paperwork is very impressive...

congrats.
x bazillion on the never ending project. Mild or wild, you'll still expereince the joys of Lowes/HD. Oh, and get familiar with your lawnmower
At least the house payment is tax deductable, unlike the truck payment :huggy:

Yep, congrats! I am really glad I finally bought a house. Living in an apartment and having to travel to my parents house or friends houses to work on my stuff was really getting old. On the downside, get ready for all the maintenance, and expenses that comes with owning a house and yard and keeping them up.

Congrats on the house. We just bought ours at the end of last month.

Right off Gumtree road, about 5 minutes from my parents house, and about 3 minutes from her parents house.

Full basement, and an attatched carport.

I'll post up some pics sometime. Wasn't many papers to sign, my guess is there were about 15 I had to sign, alot more papers though. We wre done in about 35 minutes...

Now the fun begins :D

I bought my house years ago and its been a never ending battle keeping it up and updated (but well worth it). I'm now updating the kitchen and just replaced the heat pump, and now its going on the market on April 1st :shaking:

Thats what people told me but it still didn't compare to the paperwork of buying a new vehicle.

You aint done yet.

Hey, did anyone tell you to be prepared to be working on your house ALL the time?

By the way....bit of advice, i hope you arent doing a joint mortgage without being married...i made that mistake...boy is it a pain to fix if things dont work out!!!!!

Onen ote on the basement space. If it isn't insulated with a ceiling, go ahead and start thinking now about doing soemthing about that.
Basement garages/shopas are very cool - but the wife can get very annoyed by the noise of grinders etc getting through the floors. That and teh smell of exhaust, lol.

Thats OK. My friend that lives next door has a 2-bar garage that I'll have a key to :)

A 2 bar garage? That's awesome. I'd be drunk all the time.

One word of caution, don't watch the DIY, HGTV ,etc channels.

If I tear down another wall after watching one of their shows my hubby is going to take my sledgehammer away.
