Hey now that is my old stomping ground somewhat. I was born in Lancaster but grew up (Til about 10-11) in Newark (hated it there). Then moved to the Athens, Nelsonville, Logan area. Loved it there lots of wheeling. Mostly mud but some good hill climbs around there also. lived in Columbus for a short time too I really hated it there.

Yeah, just because 9 out of every 10 @#$%tards encountered on the highway happen to be wearing oHIo plates, doesn't mean they're all imbeciles... Your probably in the 10% that don't:

- drive 55mph in the left lane in a 65mph zone for miles on end until the line is 2 miles long
- take 4.5 miles to pass the semi doing 60mph
- randomly cut others off w/o signalling
(I could go on for hours!)

I have those problems every morning going to work and again in the afternoon heading home. This is not a specific state problem this is a country problem. We need our roads to be more like the germans. No eating, drinking, talking on phones. Go as fast as you feel is safe but dont be in the PASSING lane unless you are actively PASSING another vehicle. There is nothing more that pi$$e$ me off than an idiot passing another idiot with the right lane guy doing 55 MPH and the left lane guy doing 56 MPH. As far as signals go I hate that also. I have had this dicscussion with my wife many times while driving. If someone is going to cut me off at least use your damn turn signal. I do when I need over and cut someone off. It is a respect thing LOL. I have come to the ultimate conclusion that when I get behind the wheel of anything motorized I don't care who you are I don't like you LOL. I hate people when I am driving. Any other time I am a decent people person LOL. Sorry, but I feel better after my vent/rant. Thanks LOL

I was in the great metropolis of Ravennna and Hillsville (I think?) Nothing specific against the people, it is very rural and actually pretty country, but there is no industry.

The area we were in had 1 place of employment. A GE light bulb plant that apparently only keeps applications on file for 7 days. So every Tuesday the mental giant my mom in law is living with(she is a great intellectual mind as well, every time I am around her I think about leaving my wife) and his 8 (yes I said 8) buddies pile into a Chevy Corsica and "Carpool" down to the GE plant to fill out applications. I actually listened to yahoo say," Lets not drink any beer untila after we apply today they may actually atlks to us"...DAYUM!

I mean that is damn Ignorant folks.
One night we went to eeat dinner at a Ruby Tuesdays (It looked safe) My son orders the kid's cheeseburger plate and ask for it "with nothing on it" . The guy asks and I couldn't make this up, "You do want the burger patty right?"

No dumbass 2 slices of bun please.

Anyway my Ohio rant is off, but I stand by my statement that everyone I met there was a dumbass. Many would be an insulty to the Great State of West Virginia

x a bazillion. I hate people with a passion when I'm behind the wheel. It's like insert key in ignition, insert head in ass. Put car in gear and go. I think we should be able to do it like they do in rally racing. When youo want to pass, just bump them from behind.:driver:

I know the southeast area of Ohio well. I lived in Barlett and use to race Motorcross all over that area. Before that i lived in Zanesville. There are a lot of trails down around Logan and Athens, or at least there was.

--grew up there, didn't go back after the Army stint because of the lack of work. I must say I agree it is a country problem but there are too many factors to go into here-
but I will say this, I have done extensive road driving in Texas, Georgia, Ohio and here, and Texas was by far the best(excluding the "south of the border" drivers).
In general, it is a lack of manners and respect across the board, not really state specific.

I'm going crazy!! AAAAGGGHHHH!!!!! should've brought my fishing pole
