just wondering what a good wheelbase range would be for a mildly built rig thats road legal. and how much rear overhang is to much.

That would all depend on the vehichle and tire size/ground clearance. I'll be right around 108 once my axle swap is finished but for a sami, that would be crazy long. Even at the 100 mark from stock it was good with 36's.

What rig are you working with?

This is a question for me, but he was on my computer so he posted it, but the truck that I'm looking at is a first gen four door s10 blazer measured the wheel base today at pull a part, they measure 107 center to center, but realistically I'm open to either a two door blazer (measured right around 100) or even and extended cab pickup sb (measured around 125). I'm too tall for anything regular cab except for full size and I would prefer not to go that big. Thanks for any input

Depends on what you're looking to do with it? Crawling, mudding, tight trails or what?

I love my short (94in) wheelbase for the tight trails I go on, and for in town driving (turning radius is about 6in on this thing :D :flipoff2:)

That said, its not that great on the highway, although I don't find it bad at all once you get used to it.

But if you're looking for a good all around length, I'd say go with the recommendations already posted, of 100-108in. Seems to be a pretty good all around wheelbase.
