ive got a pneumatic paint sprayer that ive had for a while and would finally like to put to use. i remember someone saying that it needs special paint in it? anyone know? im just going to be using flat black paint to paint my frame.
thanks

You can get a paint called "chassis black" it is meant for that very purpose and works well in spray guns. I can't remember the manufacturer, back in the mid 90's we got it from the Pro Distributor when I worked for Blue Ridge Mitsubishi.

Tractor Supply. A gallon of flat black is $21.
You need to read the can to findout what ratio to mix it, but I know it tells you on it. It should spray fine through your sprayer.

Ebay actually has a really good paint selection for pretty cheap. I think the standard buy it now price is like 28.00. And usually a gallon of base mixes up to about a gallon and a halfe or two gallons of sprayable paint.

I would not paint the frame/undercarriage of an offroad truck with flat paint. Gloss paint will allow the mud, dirt etc to wash off much easier.

better pick up some rust eating primer too :flipoff2:

rust... what rust :flipoff2:

ingnore all that other rust

you can Buy Rustolium in a Gallon at Home Depot and reduce it down to spray. I used it to paint the frame I made for my Gate. and it worked real good.
