Plan on painting a set of wheels that have some bad pitting whats the best way to go about scuffing them up? Do i need to chip off anything that looks like it could be a problem... Or just hit them with a 3m pad and shoot them. Any sugestions on a primer?..... And question for brandon at rides if he could chim in...how long does it take to cover a set of four? Like the ones you posted in facebook.

just red scotch brite them and use a self etching primer before painting.

I will let you in on a old hotrodder's trick for making old chrome wheels look better. Wash them with soap and a piece of aluminum foil. Use the foil like a scouring pad. I dont know how it works, but it does.

Or an SOS pad. Works like a charm.
