Parts car logistics question

Not sure this fits here exactly but was hoping enough folks might see this here to get some good info.
I am thinking about buying a parts car (90's Mercedes). My concern is can I get rid of this once I am done with it. I don't want it sitting in my yard for the next 100 years. Sorry if these sound like dumb questions.
  • Are there places that will take basically the body carcass if I strip off most of what I think may be of use to me?
  • I am thinking it could be missing most of the suspension at that point and certainly the wheels, hubs etc. If I can load it on my trailer somehow where/who might buy just the remnants?
  • The motor is shot, so I assume that would remain, do I need to do anything to that in order to just get it taken off my hands or can I leave that in tact.
  • If I had to pull the motor to get to other things, will junk yards take that off my trailer separate from the rest (if I just load all the crap together)?
  • If just selling it for scrap, can I leave seats etc inside?
I live in the Burlington area so WS/GSO or even Durham are reasonable distances. Also how much would something like this be worth to get rid of (is there a lb rate or something). I have been to places like the pull-a-part in WS but figure there might not be much left to pull when I am done with it so are there others that take this junk or do they take just the remnants too for scrap?

Talk to TheWarBeast, IIRC he makes some of his living scrapping cars. I'm sure he or someone that dos a similar business will gladly come get it from your house. Assuming there's enough left to be worth anything at scrap.
This is one of those things where you decide how much of your own effort its worth to possibly get some $ for scrap vs the ease of just having it taken away.

$11 per 100# is the going rate I believe. Put it on your trailer first then disassemble it. The scrap yard will pick it off with a forklift.

Thanks to all. Sounds like I won't have any troubles.

The scrapyard in Kernersville (OmniSource/Atlantic Salvage) pays 10.5 cent/100lb. for scrap cars. You only need a title/paperwork if its 10yrs old or newer, but it helps anyways, makes it easier on them. They have to enter the VIN in their computer, so its easier to go from your paperwork instead of having to transcribe it from the vehicle. They quickly check to make sure your paperwork matches the actual VIN . You can leave all the seats/plastic/interior, etc, just need to remove the fuel tank and battery. You're also supposed drain the oils and take the diff covers and oil pans off. Remove the radiator and condensor, and any other non-steel metals, bring them to the front building, they pay 20cents/aluminum and 40-something for brass. Out back at the steel scrapper, a huge crane grabs the junk off your trailer and tosses it in the pile...
