It was a blast wheeling up there again. Great weather, trails and people. :beer:

Indeed a good time.:beer: Thanks for putting up some pics over here.

Anything for you. ;)

Great pics! Looks like the colors will be just about right for Fall Crawl!

You guys should be up there at peak. I know when we were up there at the end of October last year the color was spectacular. Thanks again for the route advice on towing John. I was pleasantly surprised to pull Fancy Gap at 63mph in the Burb. :)

can you share the route??? I am going up to harlan for the first time.

On the way up I took 77 -> 81 -> 421 -> 38. Taking 421 from 81 to Gate City was a mistake in my opinion. It took us about 5 1/2 hours to get up there with a 30 minute stop for fuel. On the way back I took 38 -> 421 -> 23 -> 36 -> 11W -> 81 -> 77 and that was a whole lot better. It took us roughly 5 1/2 hours to get back to Advance with a 45 minute stop to fix the trailer lights and another 30 minute stop to refuel and stretch for a bit in Abingdon. I will probably go that same way next time. Last time I was up there I drove the Jeep so I took a different route entirely.

Next time I am up there I will be taking 77 -> 81 -> 11W -> 36 -> 23 -> 421 -> 38 (You can skip 36 and take 11W to 23 btw).

Thanks guys

seen the TJ in one pick. how did it do?

It did pretty good Chris. For her first time out she did really well with your old Jeep. Still got some work to do on it and a few things that need fixing but she is hooked on wheeling and has all kinds of plans for it. :)

I tried to tell you :)

Yes you did. :)

nice pics joel. i hope to go there one day.
