Lexington Mud Pits probably aren't too far from you.

They don't have any mud pits or mud bogs listed in the where to go wheeling link, so even if he had looked, he wouldn't have found what he was looking for.

Just sayin.

To each there own, some people like mud, some people like rocks, some people like trails, some people like a little bit of everything.

I'm in Alamance Co. and looking (with no luck either) for places to go mudding too. If I find any, I'll let you know. Closet place I've found seems to be Lexington Mud Pit.

I know a few really good places I use to mud back in HS, most are privately owned though but there are a few that you can go to. I can PM you a few.
 
Yeah we have heard of Lexington Mud pits but dont know much about it. lookin to go sometime.

Red, our group is heading out there March 20th, I believe 4x4Cross is supposed to be there too, itll be a real good day to head out there.
 
awesome! yeah i saw that. I just add triad trail junkies to my facebook. i would love to come but i gotta work that day so i dont know if that will work for me that weekend. Yall go out there much?

Every few weekends, as long as we don't have another wheeling trip planned some of us go, we try to do some kind of wheeling trip and some kind of get together every month.

As far as getting a big group of us together, its probably once every other month or so, but there are a bunch of folks out there any given sunday...
 
yeah I was going to say Putnam but alot of ppl these days say your not suppose to ride there anymore and then I hear some say its fine. My girl only lives a few miles from there and i use to go there and carters Mill all the time.
 
Yeah putnam is still like its been for years I was out there about 3 weeks ago and met several different groups of people out ridding and I didn't see any no trespassing signs or gates, and no stories of people getting ran off so it must be all good still.

I grew up going to flatwoods in the 70's & always heard of Putnam, but just never made it there.
Does anyone know if flatwoods is open anymore? Would like to check it out some time if so & would like to go out to Putnam, if it's for sure legal!!

Well the only reason i said that about putnam was because a few years back(well lil more maybe back when I was in HS lol) for some reason they had some cops out there running ppl off but havent heard of anything like that in a long time.
 
MUD BOGS

It's a few mud bogs around close to ya. Ace Speedway and Peidmont Dragway have been talking about runnin' one this year. Uwharrie Adventures i'm sure will be runnin their mud bog this year. Ain't Skeered Mud Bog in Lexington. Roxboro Dragway has a mudbog. Franklinville Mud Bog just south of Greensboro is up and runnin and had their season opener this weekend. If u don't mind a little drive Lee County Mud Motorsprts park in Sanford ran their season opener this weekend. there are 2 up 29 north from Greensboro just the other side of Danville Va that are really good, Pinelane Mud Bog and Sign Rock Mud Bog. All these ive listed have a website and or facebook page soo check 'em out. I forgot 1, East Bend Mud Bog in East Bend NC. If u search around Facebook u can find a few more fairly close or atleast a couple hours away.
 
yeah some friends of mine went to franklinville mud bog this weekend heard it was really good. i live about 15 minutes from there so i will be hitting that one up for sure and lexington! i will search all of them and try to check them out! i cant wait to get out in the mud and glad to see all the season openers! thanks for all the help! :)
