My xj has Dakota leafs with overload, xj main spring. Pinion is about parallel with the output shaft, maybe 3° down. It needs to come up so it doesn't bind and stretch the straps and wear the uj like it has already. Options look like: taller shackles, 8° wedges or wedge, shackle, and sye. I measured ride height from flare to hub center and came up with 3" over stock, normally loaded. Unload my normal load and I'm looking at 5-6" but that never happens since my boxes are bolted in the cargo area. Oh and the catch is that I want to keep my Jeep levelish, I put spacers up front but I'm still 1.5" low up front, so shackles and taller spacers may be the cheapest easiest way out. What do your experiences say? And it's my DD, 50-300mi/day. Reliable way too, I hate doing things twice, especially if I'm not getting paid the first time :p

If you don't already have a cv drive shaft, you should get one and then use wedges to get the pinion pointed toward the transfer case output.

Lift blocks are illegal and dangerous on the front axle.

It's an XJ, lift spacers are perfectly fine on the front coils.

Just shim it to wherever you need it. If it has much axle wrap, then it may be operating at the proper angle under load. Hard to say.

Right on. Occurred to me at some point today that I could cut and reweld the perches to correct the angle and remount my shocks to compensate for the added ride height. Not that I hit the max extension of the shocks unless I put it up on a lift or jack the body up. Plus that wouldn't help driveshaft uj binding at the tcase. Also noted an issue with the tc main shaft and slip yoke having 1/8" axial play at ride height due to running this way for the last few years. Uj has 1/4" side to side slop at the diff.. did they change uj's from 88-93? My truck is a mutt to the utmost degree, 97 motor, 94 trans & tc, 93 axles and xx body with umpteen hundred thousand miles on it. Motor is knocking the door(literally for the last 60k when cold, quiet when hot) at 330k, oil changed every 3-6 months (15-20k, rotella). Spider gears are probably on the way out too, it gets run hard and i tow things i should have a 1/2 ton truck for. <Sarcasm>This is a big surprise to me, would have never expected it to happen</sarcasm>. I hate working on my own stuff, usually run it till it breaks. Oh wait, that's a mechanic thing isn't it?
