'98 Wrangler stock, D35. New to the Charlotte area. Need to either rent a garage or find out where to take it.

I currently have a quote of $1100 to change out all bearings in the rear diff. I've never done this kind of work before. Is that fair? I know this work needs a lot of precision and right tools. Suggestions?

ouch! for alot less than that you can do a whole axle swap, i'd suggest checking out one of east coast gear supply's complete 8.8 ford swap setups-it will be the last time you'll have to mess with the rear (about $700-800)

Yeah, definitely way too high an estimate. We will be more than happy to take care of you in the Charlotte area. Give me a shout and we can knock it out for you and get you back on the road without a problem.
