Im wondering if any one knows what type of pinion yoke the D44's on Waggys and J-10's have on them from the factory? What is everyone running? stock yoke or 1310 ubolt style. Im ordering my gears and so i wanted to go ahead and get a new yoke if i need one.

They definitely have 1310 size u-joints.

Both strap and u-bolt style yokes came from the factory. Early were u-bolt if I remember correctly and the 80 and up were strap type.

You can interchange the yokes (I try to run straps when possible).

I think that they are all 26 spline.

ud run straps? From what ive got from everyone else i was told to run ubolts. Whats ure opinion. I have a 81 D44 so u think i have straps. The reason im asking is because it didnt come with any yoke hard ware since i bought it from the junk yard

go ahead and get 1350 if you can stand the price of a 1310/1350 ujoint or get your driveshaft changed to a 1350. my 77 cherokee had straps, straps suck

ubolts X9000000000000000000000

straps are worthless

I am a dumbass, I meant u-bolts. I would not believe anything that I say. this is just the internet and there is no accountability.
